About

We are a small kennel in the Netherlands FCI registerd since 1992

where Quality not quantity is our motto.

Thai Bangkaew Dogs are our love a dedicated hobby. Dogs have always been a part of my life and love. Not all were show dogs or bred from with some rescued and simply our pets. The Thai Bangkaew Dog came into our lives pure by accident. Having previously successfully shown different breeds, it was decided, after loosing our last old dog, to rescue a dog from Thailands illegal dog meat trade and after getting her home, we fell in love with her wonderful unique character as she settled we learned that she was a TBD; I was so impressed by her that my search started with the quest to import well bred Thai Bangkaew Dogs direct from Thailand to ensure their future in Europe and help preserve this amazing breed.

LIVING WITH A THAI BANGKAEW DOG:

These naughty, active and adventurous dogs are always on the go, and often quite amusing and entertaining to watch while at play.

The Thai Bangkaew Dog is more suitable for the experienced dog owner that like natural dogs and don't expect to train them the same way as the Doberman, BS or GSD's, their wariness towards strangers is natural, they are born with this and requires plenty of, socialisation without force. This breed tends to be dominant over their own kind and some will fight but when properly socialized from a young age, gets on well with non dog pets and children, who don’t tease or roughhouse it. Nonetheless too small children with their un-coordinated actions, wanting to touch the dog should always be closely monitored by parents and owner. This breed is alert, loyal, affectionate, protective, and territorial, making an incredible watch and family dog. The breed loves swimming, digging, scent rolling, playing, running and will enjoy any outdoors activity. They love to be the center of your world, and will try everything they can to direct your attention toward them, this can also sometimes lead to separation anxiety with destructive behavior. The young Thai Bangkaew Dog is high energy (not hyper) easy to train and thrives on brain work, this breed has hunting instincts and will track. In the house they are calm and more observant of their territory, don't bark often, only when visitors arrive or when needed. I think they behave a lot like foxes and are just as athletic, love to jump on tables to just calmly observe the environment, they can jump extremely high from stand still. They will catch mice or frogs in the field by suddenly stopping and pouncing like an arctic fox in the snow. What I love about this breed is their natural instincts are so strong and their loyalty, devotion towards you. Their funny antics always make me laugh and yes their naughty streaks give me extra grey hairs, but also make me smile every day.

I hope this has helped you get a little insight on the breed both good and negative aspects, to see if this breed is for you. If you have more questions then don't hesitate to ask.

A beautiful dog never results from impulsive, short-term actions, it requires a carefully conceived plan. The final product is the evolution of a lengthy creative process of inspiration, vision, experimentation, revisions and finally, the production of a finished work.

Our dogs and puppies are health checked. FCI registered/DNA cert. reared indoors, raised with love.

If you think you might be the right home for a Royhill puppy then we look forward to hearing from you.
